Oi,
This week was a good one even though we didn't get much done, because of our meetings. We had a wedding on Friday night that did not go as well as I had wanted. We spent all morning running around and buying food and dropping it off at different places. We then took everything to church and set it all up and then sat and waited... the wedding was supposed to start at 6:00 however the bride and groom didn't come till 8:00ish… then the bride didn't have anyone to walk her down the aisle, so I had to do it. So ya, awkward. Then they are both on the stand and the Branch President is up there starting the meeting and giving the talk, and someone whispers in my ear that the groom had forgotten to pick up the marriage license on Friday, and so there was not a signed paper and the wedding that we were about to do, would be completely worthless… I about died. So we ended up just doing the ceremony and going with it, and pretending that nothing was wrong. Finally the wedding was over and we had to pick up and finally got home around 10:30. What a day!!
The next day was Sat. and that was the day we were to have the baptisms. That couple that got married couldn't be baptized because they had had those document problems. However, we ended up baptizing 4, one kid named Felix, and another 3 kids of a single father whose been a member since 1997. Super old member, it was a good baptism. Elder Puga baptized Felix and the father baptized his 3 kids. Everything ran well.
I hope you're all having fun in California and that Bapa is doing well. Tell him I say hi. I have asked President and he gave me permission to do registration so I'll look at it today and then send you a letter letting you know what I think about class scheduling...
Well, I'm going to get going with the schedule, so we'll see how that goes, but thanks for the letter and hope all is well at home!
