Oi,

Well, this week has been a good one. We did a lot of finding, since our area needs some new people. We had received a couple of references that turned out to be really good, so I was happy with that. The area is slowly getting better. We also had our transfer meeting yesterday. President called and told us everything that was going on. Nothing happened in Nampula, so we’ll all be continuing on as we are. It’s super strange for me to think that I’m now in my 16th and last transfer. I only have another 6 weeks, plus only 3 weeks till Mother’s day and we can call home. Man, time is flying by. Elder Porter (Big Red) goes home in 10 days!!! I can't believe that. It seems like we were in the MTC together yesterday. It was a weird transfer meeting because I finally started to see the shift in responsibilities from us, to the younger guys. It was weird, because for most of our mission, our group of guys have been carrying most of the weight because there were 11 of us, and now, I am seeing the change over. We're on our way out and handing the mission over to these new and young kids. To be honest, I'm super nervous about it; however, that is exactly what happened when we came into the mission. The older crew handed the mission over to us when we were super young too... so I guess in the end, it will be ok... It'll probably be a little rough at first, but once people start gaining experience, things will balance out. It is good in a way, because I know our time has passed, and it is time for a change. I know our group of guys are still very experienced and very capable, but we're limited in the sense of time. I honestly just wanted to go junior under Featherstone and give the BP to him this transfer, so I could help him, but if he gets this position in the next transfer, he is a strong kid and will figure it out.

Yesterday was a baptism. I baptized a guy from Elder Featherstone’s area. It was actually the guy that was married a couple of weeks ago, but forgot to get the documents signed and so wasn’t able to get baptized... well they finally got baptized. I wasn’t expecting at all to baptize him, and so I didn’t bring a suit, so I had to use one that someone else had already used, that was a little small. So it looked funny, but it worked out in the end. That will probably be my last baptism on the mission… Our area is doing ok, however, since we are trying to work with families, they take a long time to baptize and so hopefully the families we’re teaching, will get baptized. I don’t think I’ll be around to see it...

Also I would like to express my deep sympathies on the lack of power you all had on Saturday, luckily here in Moz, we never have to go without power for 11 hours... Also we're lucky that we have an electric pump that pumps our water up to our apartment and so as we always have power, we always have water... I don't know if you could tell, I was being sarcastic... ha. Well, this week was good. Hope you all have a good one next week and that everything goes well Thanks!
