Hey,
So this week has been an eventful one. The week has been normal as far
as teaching people, and so everything has been going good there. We are in the process of giving one of our investigators a baptism date. She’s got to check with her husband and make sure every thing is ok with that, so we’ll just wait and see. Hopefully things will go good. We had district leader’s council today, which is just a meeting when the ZL’s and DL’s get together and discuss the needs of the zone. So at that meeting, Elder Gnehm (ZL) turns to me and tells me that Pres. just put me in the Beira Branch Presidency. So that ought to make life even more interesting... The branch hasn’t had a missionary in the Branch
Presidency for a couple of transfers now, and so it was unexpected. It’ll be good though. This transfer is going to fly by. It’s pretty funny though. When I got trained by Lundgren, he was training me, in
the Branch Presidency and the DL, and I remember not even being able to
imagine the time when I would be a senior comp. just makes it crazy. I’m doing exactly what Lundgren did when I came in... So it ought to be
an interesting transfer. The funny thing is though, that probably Gimo
Mapenda will be the Branch President, who is the brother of Chico Mapenda, who is the Branch President in Munhava. So that’s a little funny.
The other two in the house are great. They’re both really pretty cool,
and so it makes for a fun house. It’s also nice to have a Brazilian in
the house, to help with Portuguese. It’s way fun to have a ton of guys
from my district up in Beira. We all have a good time on P-day. It’s way fun to teach with Elder Brown. It’s funny, because when they teach, all they do is imitate the way you teach. Like I’d teach a principle and the next time he would teach that principle, he would try and teach it using the exact same example and way of teaching that I used. It’s way funny. Good though. It’s going good. And don’t worry, he’s got “Como esta” down just fine by now... ha.
So I was actually thinking about the phone call the other night. I was
having a hard time believing it. I can’t believe it’s already that time again. It’s also nuts that in a little over a month I’ll have a year
on the mission. That’s coming up really fast. I can’t believe that!
I’ve already been out about 11 months. Crazy... I’ll be coming home before I know it. Everyone always says that the second half of the mission goes by even faster too, so I guess we’ll see. The phone number will be different. Just the last 9 numbers, which is the actual number. The new number is 843988976. I’ll be looking forward to the call. Well
other than that, not a whole lot going on this week. Everything is going well. Hope you’re all well! Love you and miss you!
