Well, thanks for the E-mails. Things have been good here. This week has
been good too. Sunday went well. The 1st Councilor in the branch was
suppose to give a talk but he didn’t come and so I had to give an impromptu talk, but it went well enough. It is weird having the Morromeu guys in church and in our house. Elder Henry (from our district) is a lot of fun to talk to. Always fun to talk about the
MTC and BYU together. We go on divisions all the time, seeing as we’re now sharing half our area with the Morromeu guys. So it’s fun. The branch is doing really well. I really feel like it’s improving now so that’s good. Sunday night we cleaned out all the records at the church. We found some pretty old stuff in there and really cleaned everything out good. It’s so much better though, so I’m glad we got that done. After church we made some sloppy Joe’s and Elder Buckner made some juice out of a pineapple but instead of putting sugar in to sweeten it, he accidentally put salt... ha! It was pretty funny. We all laughed at him pretty hard. This weekend we got a lot going on. Saturday we have a Baptism at 10:00. We’re baptizing 2 more guys. Then after that we have transfer meeting. That ought to be great! Transfer meetings are by far the best 30 min. of the whole transfer. Everyone makes guesses and it’s just a lot of fun. As far as my future is concerned, I could stay or go. It’s really whatever. I could honestly go anywhere. Maputo or Morromeu, Junior or Senior. So we’ll see. I honestly have no clue at all what will happen. It’ll be fun. So yes, we did hear about Maputo and all of that, it didn’t sound good for sure, the riots and the gunfire and teargas and all that plus all the missionaries on Lock-Down in their houses. We did hear about everything. I think that emergency transfer to South Africa might have been a little overplayed. They might have studied the idea, but I don’t think they were about ready to do that. But it all turned out fine. No missionaries got hurt, so that was good.
Anyway, this week will be nice I think. We’ve got more time than usual because we’re sharing half our area with the Morromeu crew and so have less investigators. So I think this week we’re going to try and do a bunch of training sessions with the leaders in the Branch. I guess we’ll see how that all goes. If we can just get the leaders trained in the branch, that would be an amazing boost to the branch. Because then at least they would know what they need to do. Not so sure if they will do it, but they’d at least know what they were suppose to do.
It was a little hot this week, but not too bad. I’m fairly use to it by now. Everything has just become accustom to me, so it’s really not that bad. Other than that, everything is going well so I’m happy with things right now. Well, have fun skiing, hope Presidents day weekend went well and Valentines Day. Thanks for all the e-mails!

Love,
Elder Okazaki

Oh, and apparently I have a package in Maputo and so it ought to arrive
here, hopefully in about a week or so... we’ll see. Tell Big O, thanks and I approve of the jokes. Anyways, Thanks for all the stuff! Skiing sounds like fun!
