Oi,
Well it was a good normal week for us out here in Maputo. We didn't have much happening since it was the week after zone conference. It has been nice to teach and catch up on a little paper work and what not, that was neglected during zone conference. Good week over all though.
Today we went to the tallest building in Maputo and got on top of it. It was pretty cool as you could see for a long ways. Maputo is really big. Well, I guess to me it is, as I don't really know what it’s like, compared to any other city in the world, but compared to Beira, it’s huge. I remember sitting on the top of the tallest building in Beira and looking out and you could almost throw a rock to the edge of the city (it was a very distinct line) then you could also see where it ended and nothing began… You knew you were super isolated, however, here it’s different... you look out and there's tons of buildings and roads and stuff. You feel like you are in a real city, probably because you are, but it’s just different. The rest of today will probably be spent at home or something.
This week will be more excitement. We'll be having ZLC on Tuesday and Wednesday and the ZL's from Beira will be catching a plane tomorrow and coming to Maputo, plus on Friday, Elder Fiallo will be going to Tete with an Elder Brower to do a check up visit there, while I hang around Maputo with his companion, Elder Cunha (Elder Cunha was trained by Elder Buckner right after he was done with me, so me and Elder Cunha spent 1 transfer together in that house). I'm looking forward to it. On Sat. we have transfer meeting.
Sounds like you all had fun in BC.
Thanks for the letters and the update on life.... so ya, have a great week!!!
Elder Okazaki
