Hey family and friends,
Well, this week has been a good one. Not too much change in the natural rotation. Still teaching, finding, and trying to keep the branch running. It was actually a pretty nice Sunday. We watched conference yesterday and so we had a combined Beira 1 Beira 2 meeting. This week it was Beira 2's turn to conduct, so that was a nice little break. Elder Brown is doing well. So I feel like we're finally starting to see the fruits of our labors in our area. We've got one man who is working on marriage right now and is progressing very well toward baptism. The other week we knocked on a door of a family and the past 3 weeks they've been to church 2 times now. We even went by there Sat. night and she didn't have time to sit with us because she was up doing things, so that she could come to church tomorrow. It’s a great family of 4 with 2 little girls who are very well behaved and apparently love primary. I’m actually very confused with them because they have been more than golden. The first time we knocked on their door, we didn't even want to knock, because we weren't having a lot of success in the building and so on kind of a split second gut decision; we decided to finish up by knocking on it. Only the woman was home. Normally we don't sit with just the woman, but instead we mark another day to come back when the husband is there, but this time we decided to leave a small 1st lesson introduction and so we did that. We said that we would return next Sat., when the man would be home. Sat. we had a meeting that had run late, and so we were debating rather to go late or not go at all. In the end, something told me we that we needed to go, so we went, and the man wasn't home and so we left a spiritual thought and an invite to church. The next day at church, the entire family showed up. So we honestly have had to do nothing to help these people progress and they're doing great. So I honestly don't know what to think. I'm waiting for some sort of hitch, but I've yet to find one. However, to be fair, we haven't asked about marriage yet, so I'll let you know after that discussion. So things are good. The district is doing well. Nothing too new or exciting. We fasted this week to find a new president for Beira 3 and so we'll see what happens with that. The branch needs strong married families, so we really just need to baptize families. We'll see how all that goes. Anyway it has been a good week and hopefully things will keep getting better. I'm likely to be transferred next transfer and go to Maputo and so I'm enjoying my last few weeks here in Beira. We'll have transfer meeting in 3 weeks, so I guess I still have about a month in Beira. It'll be exciting to see what happens. There are 7 missionaries leaving. 1 AP, 1 ZL, 1 Secretary and so it ought to be exciting, because I think they'll be a lot of new leadership, which will be good because most of our leadership is super trunky right now, plus I think they'll be a lot of new DL's and a lot of new senior comps this transfer. Those things always make transfer meeting more exciting. Well, have a good week. Thanks for the pictures. Those were neat to see. Looks like everyone is doing well!
