Do not send them to Johannesburg anymore as it is no longer reliable.
This week has been good. I had to give my first baptismal interview
this week and that went well. It was super easy. The guy was very
prepared. I’ll have to give another one tomorrow so we’ll se how that
goes. Today we’ll be playing soccer at a field so hopefully everything
will run smoothly... Transfers are coming up already. So that’s what
almost everyone has been talking about. Elder Briggs (my comp) will be
leaving. He’s pretty much reached his maximum amount of time you can
stay in an area for and so he’s pretty much going. I’m thinking I’ll get another junior from Maputo this time and so we’ll see what happens. We find out on Sat. We’re all super excited for that. Transfer meeting is by far the best meeting we have all transfer. Everyone goes crazy. Just nuts. Its way fun. I think a lot of people are going to move and trade places this one and so it ought to be really exciting. We all get together at the church and the President makes this slide show
production that he clicks through and as he clicks faces disappear and other’s appear. It’s way fun. He always starts out with the pictures of the kids who are coming into the mission in a row and then clicks through one by one and every click the person who’s training photo pops up underneath the new kids picture and so that is way exciting. Then he goes to the next slide and every slide has a district with the companions pictures side by side and so he’ll click and peoples faces will disappear and everyone will yell and then he’ll click again and more people will appear and everyone yells again and even louder and so it really is great fun. A good way to end one transfer and a good way to start another one. So we’re all looking forward to that on Sat.
The sausage was pretty nasty and it didn’t cost that much. We
actually live pretty well here. We get 1500 Meticais every week and so it’s good. It’s enough for sure. Last week Elder Briggs and I ate out every day. It was so much better than cooking. It’s actually cheaper than cooking because Shoprite prices are fairly high… so it’s been a good week. We found some really good places to eat too. Way good. So ya. Good week.
Sounds like you had fun in Calif. Take Care!
