Well, this week was an interesting one. We now have 2 more elder’s in
our apartment and so now we are up to 6. Elder Henry who was in my group and Elder Lavanhane are now living with us. I actually really like it. They have a crazy story though. They were up in Morromeu and during the rainy season, Morromeu floods pretty bad. The town pretty much becomes an island. So they had to come down for zone conference. They crossed a huge flooded portion of the road by canoe for 4 hours and when they finally got to the other side they waited for Elder Ross and Elder Spendlove(senior couple elders) to come and pick them up. Luckily they made it through and finally got picked up at around 11pm that night. Then drove through the night and finally got to Zone conference around 8 AM. Crazy. So they’re not going back up for a little while and so they’ll be working in Munhava for the next couple of weeks. It’ll be fun to have them with us. The rest of the week went fine. We baptized that one man on Saturday and all went well with that. Sunday they invited us over and we all had a big party to celebrate. They fed us a little and their whole family was over and so it was good. It’s been nice having them(the Morromeu Elders)here, because we’ve been doing divisions with them and I’ve been showing them their new area and also have had more time to work on this presidency stuff. It’s been good so far. It’s been pretty nice lately, not extremely hot and so that has been a nice break. A little more rain but only a couple days it’s been super bad. We’ll have transfer meeting in 2 weeks from Saturday and so then I’ll know whether or not I’m leaving or staying. I feel like it is time for me to move on. I know Munhava like the back of my hand now. So we’ll see what happens.
We heard about Romney out here. Only from one of the senior couples though. That was too bad but who knows what will happen. From what we hear, we’ll have Hillary in the White house with Obama as VP when I get home. Crazy eh?
I did get one box this week though. It had all the Christmas cards in it. It was way fun to see everyone. I liked ours this year. It was way cool. Fun to see everyone else’s too. Everyone looked good though. Didn’t see Andrew getting this much into Skiing, sounds pretty fun. Sounds pretty fun tagging cars and almost making Shelby crash... ha. I remember those days.
