Hi,
This week has been a really great one. Elder Buckner is great. I really
like him. We really get along great and work well together. I'm actually a little disappointed I'll probably only get 1 transfer with him. He really likes to talk. Doesn't matter about what really. Just talk. He's a fun guy. He was serving down in Maputo before, and was actually serving with a guy from my district, before he came up here. It was fun to talk to him and see how Elder Smoot is doing. Also that Elder Sanfillippo just went home a couple weeks ago. Thats nuts, he was one of the AP's and Elder Buckners former companion. I knew him a little bit,not too much because he was down in Maputo, but it has been fun to talk to him about the football season and what not.

This week has been rainy. I think it’s rained everyday. It’s been pretty muddy in Munhava. But that’s really the worst of it. A couple days the clouds burned off after it rained, so we got wet in the morning and then it was super humid because of the rain in the afternoon. The shoes work great. They're completely waterproof until you find a spot where the water goes above the ankles.. But they're holding up good.

Baptisms this week were really good for us. We baptized those two guys
on Saturday. They were super ready and are already a part of the
branch. They're a super good addition to the branch. It was fun to baptize them because they were the first guys I've really worked with up until baptism. We've got some other baptisms scheduled for the 29th of December too, so it ought to be a good transfer.

That coffee cake is a big hit. A lot of people really like it. The
Congo Bars are good too. A lot of people really like all of those. We
almost always have a cake at our house. We've made the banana crush too,that’s good.

Sounds like everything went well with the party Will had. That sounds
like Will.Hopefully BYU will show up an play in the Las Vegas Bowl. That’s the third year they've been there. Kinda crazy. Hopefully they'll blow UCLA out of the water like they did Oregon last year. Elder Buckner red-shirted last season but he was on scholarship so I think he's pretty good. He's a super good guy and I really think we're gonna have a good transfer.
Good to hear that the Ludwigs farewell went well. If you could send
me their e-mail if you have it. She's sent me a couple of letters I
haven’t responded to. Funny how you ran into the Hockey Coach at DU. Youshould have put in a plug for me..

President Packard is coming up for interviews this Saturday. It will be
fun to talk to him. We don’t see him much, Beira is pretty isolated.
Our leadership consits of the Zone Leaders up here.
We all know that Christmas is almost here but it doesn't really feel like it. I think it has something to do with the fact that it’s still super hot..
Well, things are going super good here. We are all having a good time and I still haven't gotten sick. Good news for me. I guess I'll know our Christmas schedule better next week
so I'll let you know what times work for us. We can call really any day
around Christmas so I don't know if any day works better for you guys. Well, good luck this week, love you
