Well, this week has been very different. The City is completely
different then the Jungle. So weird. I like it though so far. I
transferred on Thursday morning and so Wed. was the last day in Munhava. It was good. I really felt good about the work I had done there. It was sad to say good-bye but I think the branch is stronger now than it was when I first arrived. Hopefully it will be able to continue to grow and do well.
The new house is so nice. I love it. It actually can hold 4 missionaries, but we just have two in there right now. It’s big for 2 but small for 4, so ya. Things are going well. Elder Briggs is way fun. I’m super glad we get a long, because in the city if you don’t like your comp. it is the worst ever. A lot of knocking on doors and stuff like that, so if you don’t like the guy, then you’re in trouble. But me and Briggs get a long great, and so I really like being with him. We joke around all day and that makes things a lot more fun. The area is big. We have the entire city of Biera. So we have a lot of people to work with. We do a lot of stair climbing. Andrew may be able to do more push-ups than me, but I guarantee him that I’ll be able to squat more than him. So lots of stairs and a lot of knocking on doors. It’s just about the opposite of Munhava. The apartments these people live in are all super nice. Some people have some really nice things. Like the buildings are the most run-down, nasty ghetto things in the world but inside, some of these apartments are really nice. They have elevator shafts but the elevators have long since died. So the stairs are what we use. The people here are super different too. They’re smart. In Munhava its really pretty hard finding smart people that
Understand, but in the city they’re all smart. It’s cool. So pretty much I feel like I’m getting trained all over again. You teach different in the city and I don’t know the area or the investigators and so its super different. It’s good though. I think I’m going to be here for another 4 transfers or so, so I’m getting comfortable. Being DL is fun. I’m still super lost, but I think it’s going good. I did my first District Meeting on Friday and so that went well. Not too hard to do that. Other than that, it is just getting the weekly stats and doing divisions with people to try and train them and just make sure everyone is getting a long and working. So it’s pretty easy so far I guess. The Branch is ok. It’s super week. Right now the Branch president traveled some place and hasn’t been to church for a while. The 1st councilor is running things and is doing a pretty good job, but doesn’t have any support. The 2nd Councilor didn’t show up to church yesterday, so we’ll have to figure out where he was. Then the Elders Quorum president traveled too and he won’t be back for at least a month, probably not for another 2. The 1st councilor there is holding things down there too. Apparently we don’t even have a YM presidency and I guess the primary is a little crazy. Last week president told me that the branch was a little weak and needed help and so hopefully we’ll be able to do a bunch of training and help people understand their callings. We’ll be baptizing the daughter of a high councilor this Sat. So it’ll be good. She’s super good and I think will do super well in the church. I’m excited to see how that all goes. I really like our district. Elder Connell is cool. He’s doing well. Same with Elder Udall. Me and Briggs are different, I’m the sports guy and he isn’t as much into sports but a super cool kid. But its way fun to talk to all of them and joke around with them and so I really like how everything is going.
The snow sounds fun. It actually hasn’t been too too bad here, so that’s good. I flipped out when I heard about Forsberg and Foote.I got an e-mail from Sista Bailey too, telling me all about what
happened.
